NO DELOREAN REQUIRED FOR THIS TIME TRIP!
Take a step back to the 1950s to witness the making of two episodes of the iconic sitcom, I Love Lucy, set in the iconic Desilu Studios, complete with a Brylcreem and Coppertoned studio host and vintage-style live musical commercials. I Love Lucy will be hitting the Maumelle Performing Arts Center in Maumelle, AR, Closed October 25, 2015.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
You'll be part of the lucky audience in the studios that get to see a "filming" in glorious Technicolor (unlike the audience at home), and soak up the vintage atmosphere as the performers get underway. In addition to the taping of the classic comedy shows that takes place in Lucy and Ricky Ricardo's New York apartment, the production also features the famous Tropicana Nightclub featuring The Ricky Ricardo Orchestra who perform live the energetic Cuban musical entertainment that America has come to know and love.
While based closely on the CBS television episodes, "I Love Lucy Live on Stage" is not intended to mimic the original program, but is an interactive celebration that pays homage to the longest-running and most famous television show in history.
